About Murray

Murray D. Webb has worked in the fitness industry for over five years as a personal trainer and coach. Starting with 24Hr Fitness in 2004, and then venturing into private training at Escondido Fitness and Aquatics Center, Murray has helped many people, young and old, reach their fitness goals.  Since 2006, Murray has been working as a personal trainer at LA|FITNESS in San Marcos, California. In addition to his work as a trainer, Murray also holds a position as the Health and Fitness Coordinator for River Springs Charter School.

Murray has completed four certifications:

  1. APEX CPT - Apex Fitness Professional Certification
  2. AFAA CPT - Aerobics and Fitness Association of America  Personal Trainer Certification
  3. NASM CPT - National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer
  4. NASM PES - National Academy of Sports Medicine Performance Enhancement Specialist

He has plans to pursue two additional certifications:

  1. IYCA YFS - International Youth Conditioning Association Youth Fitness Specialist
  2. NASM CES - National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective Exercise Specialist

Murray’s personal fitness ventures range from strength training, endurance sports (marathons and triathlons), basketball, football, and mixed martial arts.

Some highlights from his personal achievements are training seasons with Team in Training fundraising for cancer research with whom he completed triathlons in Monterey, California (2005) and Kona, Hawaii (2008).

Murray is also the father of a beautiful nine year old figure skater, his pride and joy, Autumn Maureen Webb. His goals for 2009 include obtaining the two additional certifications, as well as prepping for longer distance (Iron) triathlons.
